Help Center

Everything you need to know, in plain English.

This Help Center is organized into five categories. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, email us at info@fivefire.app and we’ll get back to you within 1–2 business days.

🔥Getting Started

1. What is FiveFire?

FiveFire is an AI-powered AP exam prep platform built specifically for high school students. We combine a 24/7 AI Tutor, AI Essay Grading aligned to real AP rubrics, adaptive practice questions, gamified leagues, and a personalized study plan — all in one place. The goal is simple: help you score a 5 on your AP exams without hating the process.

2. How do I create an account?

Head to fivefire.app and click “Get Started Free.” You’ll be asked for your email address, a password, and confirmation that you’re 13 years of age or older. That’s it — you’ll be studying within 60 seconds. No credit card required to start with the Free plan.

3. Which AP subjects do you cover?

FiveFire launches with 10 AP subjects available at soft launch, with additional subjects rolling out throughout the 2026–27 school year. You can see the current list of available subjects after you sign up. If a subject you need isn’t available yet, let us know at info@fivefire.app — we prioritize new subjects based on student demand.

4. Is FiveFire affiliated with the College Board?

No. FiveFire is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially associated with the College Board or the Advanced Placement Program.

“AP” and “Advanced Placement” are registered trademarks of the College Board, which was not involved in the production of FiveFire and does not endorse FiveFire. We build our content using the publicly available Course and Exam Descriptions that the College Board publishes for each AP subject, but we are an independent study tool — not an official product.

5. Do I need to download an app?

Not right now. FiveFire is a web app that works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap, but the web version is fully responsive and works great on phones. Just visit fivefire.app and log in — no download required.

💳Account & Billing

6. What's the difference between Free and FiveFire Pro?

The Free plan gives you access to all available AP subjects, 10 practice questions per day, unlimited flashcards and cheatsheets, basic streak tracking, XP and badges, a 7-day cram mode for the final week before an exam, 3 AI Tutor questions per day, and the score predictor in view-only mode. It’s perfect for trying FiveFire out and getting a feel for the product.

FiveFire Pro unlocks unlimited AI Tutor conversations, AI Essay Grading with real AP rubric feedback, unlimited practice questions, advanced analytics, full leaderboard rankings, the full semester study plan with score trajectory, and the full 30-day Cram Mode.

7. How much does FiveFire Pro cost?

We offer two paid options so you can pick the one that matches how you study:

  • Pro Monthly: $9.99 per month, billed monthly.
  • Pro Annual: $59.99 per year, billed annually. That’s effectively about $5 per month — the best value if you use FiveFire across multiple months.

Both plans unlock the same Pro features — choose whichever billing frequency works best for you.

8. How do I upgrade to Pro?

Sign in to your account, tap the “Upgrade” button in the menu (or click “Get Pro Now” from any feature that requires Pro), choose Monthly or Annual, and complete checkout through Stripe. Your Pro features unlock immediately. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

9. How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel. Your Pro access will continue until the end of your current billing period (so if you cancel mid-month, you still get the rest of the month). After that, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan. You won’t lose your progress, study history, or account — just the Pro features.

10. Can I get a refund?

New subscribers: You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase by contacting info@fivefire.app from the email address on your account. This applies to both Monthly and Annual Pro.

After 7 days: Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you cancel, you’ll keep Pro access through the end of your current billing period.

If you were charged by mistake or see a duplicate charge, email us within 30 days and we’ll make it right.

11. Can I switch between Monthly and Annual?

Yes. Go to Account Settings → Subscription → Change Plan. If you upgrade from Monthly to Annual, we’ll prorate any unused time from your current monthly billing period. If you switch from Annual to Monthly, the change takes effect at the end of your current annual period.

📚Using FiveFire

12. How does the AI Tutor work?

Open the AI Tutor from any subject page and ask any question in plain English — “Explain the Monroe Doctrine,” “Why does this chemistry reaction happen?”, “What does this FRQ prompt actually want?” The tutor is trained on the official College Board Course and Exam Descriptions for each AP subject, so it gives you exam-aligned answers, not generic Wikipedia info. Free users get 3 questions per day; Pro users get unlimited access.

13. Is the AI Tutor accurate?

We train the AI Tutor specifically on AP-aligned content and verify it against the official College Board CEDs for each subject. That said, AI models can occasionally make mistakes, especially on very specific historical facts, obscure vocabulary, or edge cases. Always cross-check critical facts with your textbook or teacher, especially for essay writing.

14. What do I do if the AI Tutor gives me a wrong answer?

Report it through the feedback button. Look for the small flag icon on any AI Tutor response or practice question — tap it and tell us what’s wrong. Be specific: “The answer says X but the correct answer is Y because [reason]” is more useful than “this is wrong.” We review every report and fix confirmed errors within a few days. You can also email info@fivefire.app with a screenshot if you prefer.

15. How does AI Essay Grading work?

Pro users can submit their FRQ, DBQ, or LEQ responses and get instant feedback graded against the actual AP rubric for that subject. You’ll see a rubric-point breakdown, strengths, weaknesses, and specific suggestions for improvement. The system is trained on released AP essay prompts and sample responses, so the feedback closely matches what a real AP grader would look for.

16. What's the Score Predictor? Is it accurate?

The Score Predictor estimates what you’d likely score on the real AP exam based on your recent performance on practice questions and essays. It’s not a guarantee — think of it as a fitness tracker for your AP prep. The more you use FiveFire, the more accurate your prediction becomes. Free users can view their prediction; Pro users get detailed breakdowns showing exactly which topics are dragging their score down.

17. What are Leagues and how do they work?

Leagues turn studying into a climb. Every week, you’re placed in a league (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond) with other FiveFire users at your level. Earn XP by answering questions, completing study sessions, and maintaining streaks. The top 3 in your league get promoted to the next tier on Sunday; the bottom 3 get relegated. Free users can participate in leagues and see basic rankings; Pro users get full leaderboard rankings with detailed stats on everyone in their league. Leagues are completely optional — you can opt out in Account Settings if leaderboards aren’t your thing.

18. What's Cram Mode?

Cram Mode is an intensive study plan built for the final stretch before an AP exam. It reorganizes your study plan to prioritize your weakest topics, high-yield questions, and timed practice FRQs.

  • Free users: 7-day Cram Mode for the final week before an exam.
  • Pro users: Full 30-day Cram Mode — turn it on in early April for the May exam window.

19. Can I use FiveFire offline?

Not yet. FiveFire currently requires an internet connection because the AI Tutor and essay grading features run on our servers. Offline flashcard review is on our roadmap — stay tuned.

🛡️Privacy & Safety

20. Is FiveFire safe for students under 18?

Yes — it’s the core of how we built FiveFire. We never sell your data, never run ads, never profile you for anything outside the study experience, and we apply our strictest privacy protections to every user by default regardless of age or location. You can read our full commitments on our Trust page, or dig into the details in our Privacy Policy.

21. What data does FiveFire collect about me?

Just what we need to make the product work: your email address and password for your account, a display name if you choose to participate in leaderboards, your study progress and quiz results so we can personalize your experience, and your payment info (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number). We don’t collect your location, browsing history outside FiveFire, or anything else. See our Privacy Policy for the complete list.

22. Can my parents see what I'm studying?

Parents and guardians can contact us at info@fivefire.app to request access to or deletion of their child’s account information. We’ll verify their identity before sharing anything.

23. How do I delete my account?

Go to Account Settings → Delete Account. Your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. If you’re on a paid plan, cancel your subscription first to avoid further charges. You’ll receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete. This action can’t be undone, so make sure you’ve saved anything you want to keep.

🔧Troubleshooting

24. I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click “Forgot password” on the login page, enter your email address, and we’ll send you a password reset link. The link is valid for 60 minutes. If you don’t receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder — and if it’s not there, email us at info@fivefire.app and we’ll help you regain access.

25. The AI Tutor isn't responding. What do I do?

First, refresh the page — most AI Tutor issues are caused by a temporary connection hiccup. If that doesn’t work, try signing out and back in. If you’re still stuck, email info@fivefire.app with a screenshot and the approximate time the issue happened, and we’ll investigate. Pro users’ questions are prioritized in our response queue.

26. A practice question or answer looks wrong. How do I report it?

We appreciate the help! Click the feedback button on the question (look for the small flag icon) and tell us what’s wrong. Be specific: “The correct answer should be B, not C, because [reason]” is more useful than “this is wrong.” We review every report and fix confirmed errors within a few days.

27. My streak disappeared!

Streaks reset if you don’t complete at least one study action in a 24-hour window. If your streak broke unexpectedly and you’re sure you studied, email info@fivefire.app with the date and we’ll investigate.
