FiveFire is operated by InGaim Partners LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We wrote it in plain English because nobody reads legalese.
What we collect
- Account info: email address, display name, and avatar URL (if you set one).
- Study progress: quiz scores, flashcard performance, FRQ submissions, mastery levels, streaks, XP, and badges.
- Subscription status: whether you're on the Free or Pro tier, managed through Stripe.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and general analytics to improve the product.
What we do NOT collect
- Biometric data (fingerprints, face scans, etc.)
- Precise geolocation
- Social Security numbers or government IDs
- Raw payment card data (Stripe handles all payment processing)
How we use your data
- Provide the service: track your study progress, calculate your Score Predictor, and personalize your experience.
- Improve the product: analyze aggregate usage patterns to build better features.
- Process payments: manage Pro subscriptions through Stripe.
- Communicate: send essential account notifications (password resets, billing updates). We don't spam.
Third-party services
We use the following services to run FiveFire:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Stripe — payment processing (we never see your card number)
- Vercel — hosting and deployment
- PostHog — product analytics
- Anthropic — AI features (essay grading, tutor). We send your essay text for grading but no personally identifiable information like your name or email.
Data retention
Your data stays active as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymous data (like "X% of students got this question right") may be retained indefinitely.
Children's privacy
FiveFire is designed for high school students and is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at privacy@fivefire.app and we'll delete it.
Your rights
All users can export or delete their data by contacting us.
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell your personal information.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes. If we make a significant change, we'll notify you via email or an in-app banner.
